Academic Committee and IQAC, Government Hnahthial College jointly organized an Orientation Programme for newly admitted students on 15th July 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in the College Auditorium. The programme aimed to welcome the freshers and familiarize them with the college's academic environment, facilities, rules, and student support services, thereby helping them make a smooth transition into college life.

The programme was chaired by Mrs. Lalremsiami, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of History. Mr. Lalsiamthanga, Principal of the College, delivered the welcome address, warmly greeting the new students and encouraging them to make the best use of the academic opportunities, infrastructure, and co-curricular activities offered by the institution.

A session on Mission Katharos and the National Cadet Corps (NCC) was delivered by Dr. Lalrinpuia Vangchhia, Assistant Professor. He highlighted the importance of cleanliness, environmental responsibility, discipline, leadership, and active student participation in maintaining a healthy and sustainable campus while also encouraging students to join the NCC for personality development and community service.

R. Lalngaiawma, Examination Secretary, briefed the students on academic matters, including the curriculum, examination system, attendance requirements, and the academic regulations of the college. Miss Lalawmpuii Sailo, Assistant Professor, spoke on disciplinary rules, etiquette, and responsible student behaviour, emphasizing the values expected from every student.

Adding a cultural touch to the programme, Ms. Linda T. Zothanmawii, a third-semester student, presented a beautiful solo song that was warmly appreciated by the audience.

The session on co-curricular activities was conducted by Dr. K. Lalzuimawia, who introduced the various clubs, student development programmes, and extension activities available on campus. The programme concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation from the newly admitted students, equipping them with essential information and inspiring them to begin their academic journey with confidence, responsibility, and a positive outlook.
