The Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) Cell of Government Hnahthial College successfully organized the inaugural function of the UBA scheme at Thiltlang village on 11th September 2025. The event marked the official launch of UBA activities in the village and aimed to foster a stronger connection between academic institutions and rural communities.

The inauguration programme was chaired by Dr. Lalrinpuia Vangchhia, Faculty Expert of the UBA Cell. Dr. Lalzarzovi, Coordinator of the UBA Cell, delivered an informative address explaining the objectives, vision, and implementation strategies of the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan scheme. The programme was formally inaugurated by Mrs. Lalawmpuii Sailo, senior member of the UBA Cell, who officially launched the UBA initiative in Thiltlang village. Her inaugural address emphasized the significance of academic-community partnerships for rural development.

The event was graced by the presence of five faculty members from Government Hnahthial College. It also saw active participation from local NGO leaders, village teachers, and enthusiastic community members, reflecting the spirit of collaboration and shared vision. During the programme, several important action points were discussed and outlined to initiate development projects in the village. These include potential interventions in areas such as education, sanitation, health, sustainable agriculture, and livelihood generation. The UBA Cell looks forward to working closely with the village community in implementing these initiatives and bringing positive transformation to the region.
