Department of Geography, Govt. Hnahthial College conducted a Field Visit at Lungleng South and Lunghmingthang on 1^st April 2025. Students have conducted surveys in the village. The major theme of the survey was agriculture. After covering 33.33 percent of the total household, all the students and faculty have visited Lunghmingthang, the biggest Monolith in North East India (as local people said).  They also measured the height of Lungleng Tlang using Garmin GPS Etrex 32x. The elevation of Lungleng Tlang was measured at 1690 meters above sea level. They also studied the Biodiversity, Forests, Soils and Climatic characteristics of Lungleng South village and comparing with Hnathial main town. Three students and 5 faculty could participate in the field visit.
