The department of History, Govt. Hnahthial College conducted field work at Khawhri and Tarpho Village on 15th March, 2024.  The main objective of the field survey was to gather documents and necessary information in connection with the life and contributions of Zakapa. Field study and collection of oral sources have been undertaken through interaction with the village peoples and visit of  various historical sites relating to Zakapa and his resistance to colonialism during the last decade of the 19th century. The field work was done by Sem IV Students of History namely Zodintluanga, HS Lalruatsanga, H. Remruattluangi and Lalsiammawii under the guidance of Dr. K. Lalzuimawia and Dr. Zothanpuii, Asst. Professors, Department of History, Govt. Hnahthial College.
