After serving 38 years, Mr. K. Lalsangluaia, Principal, Govt. Hnahthial College retired on 28th February, 2023 from his service. He served as a teaching faculty at Mizo Department for 33 years in excellence. He served as the Principal for 5 years from 1st February 2019 till his retirement. The farewell programme was organized on 27th February by Staff Welfare Committee and Students’ Union on 28th February, 2023. During his Principal-ship, the College had a good number of achievements. Some of them are 1. The College had improved from  C grade to B grade in NAAC accreditation. 2. The College got 62.56% in Academic and Administrative Audit (AAA). 3. NIELIT Study Center had been started and well functioning. 4. Academic Block B, Library Extension have been completed. 5. Entrepreneurship Knowledge Cell (EKC) was opened. 6. Boys Hostel was improved and well functioning. 7. Three MoUs have been signed with various departments.  

Govt. Hnahthial College will not forget his contribution for welfare and development of the College fraternity. The faculty, Staff and Students wish him a happy retirement life.
