Celebration of awards and inauguration of Mini Weather Station programme was organized by IQAC, Research & Development Cell and Department of Geography, Govt. Hnahthial College on 4^th May 2023 at the College Auditorium. The College team won the first position in the symposium on Sustainable Development Goals held at Vanapa Hall, Aizawl on 8^th March, 2023. The College also won Government Website Awards 2022-2023. The awards celebration was organized with the chief quest of Dr. R. Lalthangliana, the honourable minister of Higher & Technical Education department, Govt. of Mizoram and MLA of South Tuipui Constituency.  The program was chaired by Dr.Samnuel R. Vanlalruata, chairman of Research & Development Cell. Mr. Lalsiamthanga, Principal of the College deliverd a welcome speech. Technical report on Local immersion and symposium on Sustainable Developments Goals has been given by Dr. Lalrinpuia Vangchhia, coordinator of the local immersion programme. Mr. Lallawmsanga Ngente in charge of the College Website Management also gives a report on the College website and the award. Felicitation was hosted by Dr. K. Lalzuimawia, Asst. Coordinator of the local immersion programme. The chief guest inaugurates Mini Weather Station which was purchased under RUSA 2.0 and handled by Department of Geography. He congratulates the college on the awards and request to cooperate to develop education quality at various levels. First session of the programme was ended with the vote of thanks proposed by Dr. C. Hmingsangzuala, Secretary, Research & Development Cell. The programe was attended by honorable MLA of Dampa Constituency Mr. Lalrintluanga Sailo, Mr. Laltanpuia, Joint Director, Quality Assurance Cell, Department of Higher & Technical Education, Govt. of Mizoram and other important department officials. 

The second session was continued after lunch break and chaired by Mr. R. Lalngahawma, Asst. Professor, Department of Mizo. In the session the students who participated in the symposium has present their project which have been done on the Symposium. Ms. Lalawmpuii Sailo, Asst. Professor, Department of English hosted an interview and interaction of the students in their presentation. Dr. Lalrinpuia Vangchhia has delivered a motivational speech in relation with the experience from the symposium.
